Gift of Securities

Donate your stocks, bonds or other securities and earn tax benefits at the same time. If you have held your securities for more than one year, you may find that your gift will provide a twofold tax benefit, creating an income-tax deduction as well as helping avoid the capital-gains tax that would have been due on their sale. MRT receives gifts of securities through a gift account at UBS.

Your broker will need the following information:

DTC 0221 Account #: KB 25518

IRA Rollover Gifts

If you are 70 ½ or older, you can make tax-free charitable gifts of up to $100,000 directly from your Individual Retirement Account. These gifts can be used to meet all or part of an IRA required minimum distribution. Contact your financial representative to take advantage of this benefit while generously supporting MRT! You can download a sample letter for your IRA administrator here.

Matching Gift Opportunities

Many companies match the gifts of their current or retired employees. Please check with your HR department to learn if this  is an option with your employer.
