A Christmas Carol will begin rehearsals on Wednesday, November 20, 2023, and tech days are December 7-8 with an adjusted schedule for young actors. The first preview performance is on December 11, and the show opens December 14 (rehearsals end). The show closes on December 29.

All performances at MRT’s Liberty Hall at 50 East Merrimack St., Lowell, MA.

Rehearsals will be Tuesday through Friday during the week (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and a full day on both Saturday and Sunday. There are approximately 20 public shows and approximately four maximum student matinees. These show numbers are subject to change at all times. The student matinees are at 10 a.m. during the weekdays. There are two casts of young actors, so the performances are shared between them; however, approval from your child’s school is absolutely necessary if cast. Please note MRT staff is CORI checked. This youth performance opportunity is for a structured and supervised professional experience for students.  Students will receive a small travel stipend from MRT for this opportunity. Young actors cast will participate in two educative sessions prior to the start of rehearsal in November, including a young actor orientation and a performance workshop.

This is a casting audition so we are unable to give individual feedback on the work done during the audition. MRT does performance opportunities in the summer through Summer Stage for Youth. Scholarships are available. https://www.mrt.org/youngcompany
