Production Assistant


Merrimack Repertory Theatre, a LORT D regional theatre located in Lowell, MA, is seeking one
Production Assistant immediately for its 24-25 season. This position will work primarily with AEA Stage Managers as well as the Artistic/Production staff.

Position: Production Assistant

Employment dates: 9/2/24 through 5/11/25

Primary Duties:

1. Commitment to fostering an anti-racist work culture and to anti-racist principals and learning.
2. Commitment to the ideals of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.
3. Assist AEA Stage Managers with all stage management duties necessary to prep, rehearse, tech and successfully run each show.
4. Perform stage management support duties in the rehearsal hall, including set up/breakdown, creation of show paperwork, managing line notes, Qlab playback in rehearsal and assisting with the overall flow and efficiency of the room.
5. Create, maintain, and distribute necessary paperwork for rehearsals and performance.
6. Track script changes, be on book for tech and filming captures. 
7. Prior to tech, the PA will assist props with load-in, organize the backstage area, and help to clean and prep all actor areas.
8. Serve as the backstage liaison for the Production Stage Manager. Will serve as run crew, and must be willing and prepared to be choreographed into scenic transitions as needed based on the specific needs of each production.

Job Requirements: valid driver’s license, ability to lift 25 pounds

Seasonal Part-Time Box-Office Representative

 

Merrimack Repertory Theatre, a LORT D regional theatre located in Lowell, MA, is seeking a seasonal, part-time Box-Office Representative to support patron services. This position will work closely with the Box Office Manager and requires an attentive, courteous, and detail-orientated individual to help with the daily duties of the box office. This includes contact with our patrons (including a large subscriber base), ticket sales, concessions, and general office upkeep. The successful applicant will be a responsible, mature, punctual team-player with a warm and friendly attitude and an appreciation for the performing arts.

Position: Box Office Representative, Part Time, Seasonal, Non-Exempt
Start Date: January 3, 2023
End Date: May 31, 2024
Pay Rate: $15.75 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Handling and processing single and subscription ticket sales via phone and computer
• Informing patrons about upcoming performances, providing descriptions, dates, times, and additional information to help them with their purchasing decisions.
• Assisting patrons with venue information, including directions, local dining, parking, special needs accessibility, etc. 
• Welcoming guests to MRT for performances and fulfilling will call and/or ticket sale requests.
• Maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times.
