Dan is the frontman and creator of the comedy rock group The Dan Band. He is best known for his appearances as the inappropriate wedding singer in the films Old School, Starsky & Hutch and The Hangover as well as his one hour comedy special The Dan Band: I Am Woman directed by McG and executive produced by Steven Spielberg. Dan was an original member of the first American tour of STOMP and originated the role of Lonny in the world premiere of Rock of Ages in Los Angeles. He was a recurring comedy correspondent on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and can next be seen in the upcoming film Dumplin directed by Anne Fletcher and starring Jennifer Aniston. A graduate of Emerson College in Boston, Dan is excited to be debuting Little Orphan Danny here at MRT. He sends special thanks to Sean Daniels for helping him create the show, Johanna Phaelzer at American Stage & Film for encouraging him to even make a show, his kick ass wife Kathy for encouraging him to do everything and his amazing daughter Samia for being his best accomplishment ever. Julie is an actress, singer, songwriter, musician, and writer...and now a huge fan of this show. Broadway shows include: Sunday in the Park with George, Disney's Newsies, Lincoln Center's South Pacific, Little Women, and The Full Monty. She is a graduate of UNC- Chapel Hill with a BA in Opera performance. As a singer/songwriter, Julie's music has been described as folk/Americana/bluegrass and was a feature on the web series Submissions Only, and can be heard in independent films, movies and upcoming musicals. Her songs have won many songwriting awards and her singles and albums (This Part of Town, My Plans) can be found on iTunes and Amazon. He has developed new work with the Eugene O’Neill Theatre Center, Ars Nova, PlayPenn, Lark, PlayLabs, New York Stage and Film, Asolo Rep, Goodspeed Opera, Weston Playhouse, Bay Area Playwrights, Magic Theatre and was the first American director asked to attend the Baltic American Playwrights Conference in Hiiumaa, Estonia. Dan conducted The Last Ship by Sting on Broadway and played keyboards on its original cast recording. He and David Rossmer are writing the score for Hasbro’s Broadway-bound musical Monopoly, with a book by Rick Elice. Lipton wrote original music for the off-Broadway plays Hit the Wall (Barrow Street Theatre) and Prometheus Bound (Classic Stage Company). Music direction credits: The Last Ship, The Coast of Utopia by Tom Stoppard (Lincoln Center Theater, Broadway), The Bridge Project directed by Sam Mendes (BAM, Old Vic), Little Fish (Second Stage Theatre, off-Broadway) and Herringbone with BD Wong and Roger Rees (La Jolla Playhouse). Lipton has arranged music and led bands for Kelli O’Hara, Brian d’Arcy James, Martha Plimpton, Judy Kuhn and Audra McDonald, performing at the White House, Carnegie Hall, Kennedy Center and on Late Show with David Letterman, Great Performances, Live with Kelly Ripa, Today and Studio 360. Highlights include the American premiere of Caryl Churchill’s Drunk Enough to Say I Love You, Mike Daisey’s Last Cargo Cult and Time it Was with Bill Irwin. Regional credits include Arena Stage, Milwaukee Rep, Geffen Playhouse, ACT, The Geva and Long Wharf, as well as productions in Korea, Japan, China, Canada and Cuba. He is a frequent Broadway associate designer, where credits include Significant Other, Violet, The Glass Menagerie, A Streetcar Named Desire, The Heiress and The Nance. Daniel is a member of USA829, IATSE, SDC and the Lincoln Center Director’s Lab. He is a faculty member at Tisch/NYU and a graduate of Northwestern University.

MRT: The Fantasticks (2008), Daddy Long Legs (2012). Jeffrey has been involved in theatre, either onstage or behind the scenes, for the last 30 years, performing and directing all over New England as well as working full-time as a private music instructor locally. He is proud to be returning for his third production with Merrimack Repertory Theatre.
The son of two musicians, Andrés was named after the famed classical guitarist, Andrés Segovia. Andrés has been a professional guitarist and singer-songwriter since his late teens, having performed everything from jazz to heavy metal and everything in between throughout New England, Europe, and Israel. Andrés’ debut original album, the blues-based INK & SOUND (2006) was named one of Boston’s top five by Metronome Magazine in 2007, and the acoustic follow-up, CITYSCAPES & APPARITIONS (2013), is available on Bandcamp. He is currently at work on a new instrumental album. As a sideman, Andrés has recorded and performed with a variety of artists, including multi-genre composer Asia Mei, NYC hop-hop artist Dell Wells, and the function band, the Soul Sensations. Most recently he has been the guitarist for the Gramm Award-winning reggae artists, King Mas. In his other life, Andrés reads, writes about, and teaches books as a professor. Andrés holds a B.M. from the Berklee College of Music, an M.A. from Columbia University, and he recently completed his PhD in Comparative Literature from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
